As some of you may (or may not) know, Metaphorosis Magazine officially ceased publication at the end of the 2024. In honor of its last year, the EIC, B. Morris Allen, made it an invitation-only year for the magazine, and I was one of the authors he solicited to write a story (So. Honored! 💕) Anyway, this was the result--I hope you enjoy it! Hard SF is a real commitment, even if you're already familiar with some of the science involved, but I really loved writing it and its morally gray heroines. Far Horizon (Note: His illustrator chose my story for the cover of the entire quarter's magazine.)
